Common questions

Which model should I pick?

The app suggests one on first start, from the language and the phone's memory. For other languages than the Nordic ones, the multilingual large-v3-turbo is the one to try first.

Why does it take a while?

Speech recognition runs on your phone, not on a server. A phone often needs about as long as the video lasts; a PC with a graphics card a few seconds.

Where do my exports go?

On Android in Movies → Zubcap (the app's earlier name), stills in Pictures → Zubcap. On a PC where you choose.

Does it work offline?

Yes, once the model is downloaded.

Sámi?

The Northern Sámi model from the National Library of Norway is a first draft: check every line. It is coming soon and needs a phone with 6 GB of memory, or a PC.
